The total export cargo comprised 5,372 ttonnes of containerised cargo As many as 1,139 containers comprising 885 containers import and 254 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday. The brakeup of imported containers shows 463 of 20's and 201 of 40's loaded while 10 of 20's and 5 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 183 of 20's and 33 of 40's loaded containers while 5 of 20's and nil of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There are two ships namely Northern Dedication and Fu Yu Shan with one container ship and one general cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There are four vessels viz Northern Dedication, RNO Al-Mansoor, RNO Al-Sharqiah, and Pacific Energy with one container ship, two navy ships and one oil tanker respectively are currently at the berths. There are three ships namely MT Quetta, Ikan Sagai and Maersk Illinois with one oil tanker, one coal carrier and one general cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea on Monday, while three ships namely with Hyundai Confidence, UASC Shuwaikh and Pacific Energy with two container ships and one oil tanker respectively are expected to sail on Tuesday.
There are four vessels viz UASC Shuwaikh, Hanjin Durban, Marylisa-V and Warnow Mars with two container ships, one rice carrier and one steel ship respectively due to arrive on Monday, while seven vessels viz West Scent, Jolly, Kota Gembira, Golden Gion, Bon Chem, UACC Shams and Georgia-M with three container ships, two ethanol tankers, one mogas ship and one coal carrier respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday.
PORT QASIM A cargo volume of 109,324 tonnes comprising 80,277 tonnes of import cargo and 28,883 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 2,685 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The total import cargo of 80,277 tonnes includes 46,440 tonnes of furnace oil; 1,566 tonnes of iron ore; 9,794 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 22,477 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 28,883 tonnes includes 345 tonnes of wheat and 28,538 tonnes of containerised cargo. A total number of 2,685 containers comprising 1,183 containers import and 1,502 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
MV Beautiful Rena with iron ore sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while two more ships namely CV MSC Ayala and CV Maresk Utha with containers are expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of seven vessels viz CV MSC Ayala, CV Maresk Utha, CV MSC Clementina, MV Sai Eternity, MV Beautiful Rena, MT Stalt Pando and MT Karachi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, iron ore, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as three ships namely CMA CGM Latour, Mire and Al-Soor-II with containers, furnace oil and diesel oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. There are four vessels viz CV CMA CGM Latour, CV Hanjin Venezia, CV Maersk Kalkata and MT ASuccess Marilina with containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Monday.
